Howdy!

Hi,

My name is Diana and I’m studying Biology and Geography. I’m going to be studying at Brock University in the first semester.

I decided to apply for Study Abroad because I want to see the world, meet new people and gain independence from home. I’ve never seen any further than France and the opportunity seemed too good to miss out on! I’ve never been on a plane, got my passport four months ago and booked my flights just a few a weeks ago. I’m currently feeling both scared and excited all at the same time.

When it came to choosing a university, I had a list of over 25 universities to choose from! I had already decided I would love to see North America which cut the list down to about 20 universities. I then looked at whether the university was a campus university, some of the modules the university offered and whether the university had a swimming team. I liked the look of Brock University because it’s a campus university, has some really interesting courses and has both a synchronised and speed swimming team.

In just 8 days I’ll be on my plane to Toronto, with all the (helpful!) plane advice from my friends to guide me, and recovering from jet lag in a hotel next to the airport. Then I want to see Niagara Falls, Toronto and I hope to go to New York at some point! I cannot wait!
